The survey's primary challenge was its unprecedented scale and technical complexity, requiring the collection of detailed anthropometric data and biological samples from over 33,000 children and adolescents across eight states.
Sigma developed custom CAPI applications and implemented rigorous training for phlebotomists and field staff, ensuring standardized collection and cold-chain management for all biological samples.
The CNNS provided India with a crucial, first-of-its-kind national dataset on micronutrient deficiencies and non-communicable disease risk factors among youth. The findings have been instrumental in shaping India's policies on nutrition and child health.
This landmark project showcased our end-to-end capabilities, from developing complex CAPI tools to managing large-scale, technically demanding fieldwork, solidifying our position as a leader in national health surveys.
Next projects.
